Art on the Ave – Friday, May 18, 2012

Join the East Spokane Business Association for Art on the Ave in the Spokane International District on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 5-8pm.

This event provides an opportunity to celebrate diversity, culture and local businesses. A main highlight and theme for the event is the cross cultural experience, from the music, to the artists to the international themed food. Participants include, The Flying Pig, Checkerboard Bar, Clara Woods Arts Restoration, Spokane Boxing Club, 360 Apparel, Barking Dogz Tattoos, Maye’s Mercantile, Needful Things, Boyd Walker Sewing, Strong Solutions, Liberty Tax, Vien Dong and more!!!

September and October Arts Walk

You are invited to visit the Spokane International District’s Arts Walk! It’s a family friendly event including art, music, dance, literature, and lots of fun.

The Arts Walk is from 5 to 8 pm on the third Fridays of September and October. See you there!

New Website

With the help of a graduate student from Eastern Washington University, the Spokane International District’s web site has been newly updated with its official graphics and new resources. We’re pleased that you have the chance to see the new design!

Cinco de Mayo

The Spokane International District will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo on May 5, 2011.  Bring yourself, some friends, and have a great time!  Here’s what’s going on:

1. Tin Roof, 1727 E. Sprague: Nacho bar with 4 different salsas and “no octane” (non-alcoholic) margaritas from 11am – 2pm.

2. Checkerboard Tavern, 1716 E. Sprague: Serving Mexican food, assortment of Mexican bottled beers, and one draft Mexican beer.

3. One World Cafe, 1804 E. Sprague: Mexican food served for lunch

4. Access Telcom, 2202 E. Sprague:  Serving desert from 2pm – 4pm

5. The Flying Pig, 1822 E. Sprague: Serving Mexican food for lunch and Mexican Mocha’s
