With the help of many partners, the Spokane International District’s September 2010 Action Plan was adopted by the community.The Action Plan lays out a vision for the future of the Spokane International District and institutes four strategies for its implementation:
- Create a vibrant and culturally diverse destination commercial District;
- Create an inviting and safe District for residents and businesses;
- Preserve the unique and historic character of the District; and
- Create an accessible neighborhood with diverse housing options and opportunities for people of all incomes.
With a firm root in the community’s adopted strategies, a multi-year work program was outlined and adopted and is currently underway. Full details of the community, vision, strategies and work plan were consolidated under a single document, the Spokane International District Action Plan
